The relaxed difference
Here are the details for this mode. An empty column no longer prevents a stock deal in this variant. A stock card dealt to an empty column becomes that column's first face-up card. The relaxed stock rule does not allow mixed-suit groups to move together. The relaxed stock rule does not change the rank requirement for ordinary moves.
Read the opening
The stock contains fifty cards for five later deals. The opening tableau contains 54 cards. Only the bottom card of each opening column is face up. The first four columns have six cards each and the remaining six have five.
Move a single card
The two cards do not need to share a suit for a single-card placement. An Ace cannot receive a lower-ranked card. An exposed card may land on another exposed card exactly one rank higher. A King needs an empty destination because no rank is higher.
Move a group
Here are the details for this mode. Same-suit building can reduce the work needed to separate mixed sequences later. A suit change can leave a smaller movable group at the bottom of a column. A descending group moves as a unit only when every selected card shares a suit. A break in rank prevents the entire selected group from moving together.
Use empty columns thoughtfully
Here are the details for this mode. A new stock row fills every empty column with one card. Empty columns remain useful for separating temporary mixed builds. Any exposed card or legal same-suit group can occupy an empty column. You may preserve an empty column until you decide to deal from the stock.
Stock deals are still shared
Keep these points in mind. Dealing can block an existing sequence as well as reveal new combinations. A stock deal places one card onto each of the ten columns. You cannot direct an individual stock card to a chosen destination. Undo restores the previous arrangement when the stock-deal snapshot is available.
Collect matching runs
A few details help explain this feature. Eight collected runs are required to finish Relaxed Spider. A complete run contains thirteen face-up cards in one suit from King to Ace. The game removes a complete run automatically at the bottom of a column. Changing the number of suits does not change the number of required runs.
Practice the variant
A few details help explain this feature. Replay restores the same shuffle for another attempt. New game creates a fresh shuffle in the selected suit setting. Hints identify legal options without guaranteeing a win. Random relaxed deals are not presented as guaranteed solvable.
